About Laurie
Laurie Ann Jacobson is a glass artist living in South Florida. A prolific creative spirit, she designed bedding, custom gifts, stationary, furniture and children’s rooms before discovering her passion for glasswork. What began as a hobby quickly got into her blood and her creativity started flowing. “It was so exciting because the possibilities of glass fusing are endless.”
Working in glass combines Laurie’s passion for texture and pattern with a multi-dimensional medium that harnesses the transformative power of light and color. The ocean, beach and color auras influence her designs.
A Mom, friend and joy seeker, Laurie uses her glass artwork to spread beauty, imagination and tranquility into the environments of her clients, always aiming to open a window of love, light and positivity into their spaces.
Did you know?
Believe it or not, glass is made of liquid sand. You can make glass by heating ordinary sand until it melts and turns into a liquid.
You won't find that happening on your local beach though because sand melts at the incredible high temperature of 3090F (1700 ˚C)
